Personal Statement
My collegiate goal is to play soccer while attending nursing school. My hard work and dedication propel me to be the best in every thing I do. The drive and fun of soccer fills me with joy, and has taught me valuable life skills such as team work, dedication, and communication. Academics are also an important aspect in my life, as evidenced by my high GPA and class ranking. Athletics and academia have both contributed to shaping the unique individual I am.
Living in Alaska has not limited the training or competition level for me. I have state championships at the club level, and have traveled nationally with them and with the Alaska Olympic Development Program (ODP). My most recent team tournament success was a third place finish at the Disney Girls Soccer Showcase in Orlando Florida in January 2017. On a personal level I am 3 year Varsity starter and have been awarded 1st team All-Conference at my high school in Alaska. I also received 2nd team All-Conference honors at my previous high school in the Portland, Oregon large schools Metro League Conference, where we finished with a #7 ranking in the state.
My plans for this summer and fall include tournaments in Alaska, Utah, and Northern California.
