When I tore cartilage and knocked my patella out of line, followed by a dislocation, I had to be just as dedicated to my rehab as I was with being a student athlete. Through my recovery I learned just how much you have to sacrifice as an athlete, and how thankful you should be for every game you get to play. I went to every game and practice while injured because I had a commitment to my team. It showed me with hard work and dedication you can get through anything and continue to excel as a student athlete.
I have been playing soccer for twelve years, and have always wanted to play college ball and even move on to professional soccer. Although I am usually an offensive player, preferably forward, I am comfortable playing any position on the field. I enjoy being pushed, and training as hard as possible, so I can ensure that I will be at the top of my game.
I am looking for a college that is a good fit for me both athletically and academically. I am very open minded about where I attend geographically. I hope to be able to not only be challenged on the soccer field but in the classroom as well. I know that with my hard work and commitment as a student athlete I would have a great impact on your team!
