Personal Statement
My name is Linae Harada. I am currently a senior at Red Mountain High School in Mesa Arizona and am looking to pursue my soccer career at the collegiate level when I graduate in 2015. I am interested in getting more information on any scholarship options that may be available for women’s soccer. Soccer has been a huge part of my life since I was nine years old and has helped me grow as a person. It is my way of letting my mind go and focus on what I do best. Playing has not only taught me the fundamentals of the sport but the qualities of family and friends as well. Pursuing soccer as a child allowed me to grow out of my comfort zone and meet new people. These people have influenced me to continue playing in college. On a more substantial note, I know I would be a positive addition to your team in skill and in attitude. I have played varsity soccer since my freshman year at Red Mountain. I also play for the Red Mountain Desert Devils coached by Barry Adam during club season. We are currently ranked seventh in state as a U17 girls team and were third in state in 2013. Since 2011, I have scored 305 goals and have had 48 assists for this team. My normal and preferred position is forward but have played midfield in the past.
