Personal Statement
I am a very diverse athlete and excel in several sports such as: soccer, dance, gymnastics, water/downhill skiing and track. My current interest is in soccer. I have been playing soccer since I was seven years old but took a short break due to my gymnastics commitments. I was a reigning State Champion for four years and had the opportunity to compete at the Regional Championships. Gymnastics has given me excellent balance, agility, stability, physical and mental strength. I have also set track records for short distance races in my eighth grade year.
On the soccer field, I have very good precision and am aware of the entire field. I am very fast and quick on the field. I am coachable and gain understanding of skills and dynamics quickly. I am a very supportive team member. My strongest quality on the field is my speed and quickness. A unique quality I possess is the ability able to perform a flip throw.
As I spend more time on the field, I am becoming more confident and stronger as a player. I have been told several times by coaches that I am a quick learner and able to perform the skills requested. I am very versatile on the field where I have the ability to play any position. I prefer playing outside wing or an attacking midfielder.
I was awarded by NMAA 2nd all-district and all-state in 2015 as a freshman. In 2016 I was awarded by AIA 2nd team all section. During my track season in the spring of 2015 my team was runners up for the state title. Also at the state meet I won the 4x400m relay and the 1600m Medley relay.
I accept any academic challenge. I promoted from mid school receiving the highest academic award and was a member of the National Junior Honors Society. I am currently showing an interest in attaining a college degree in physical therapy, nursing or an area pertaining to the human anatomy.
