I'm Ashlynn Ramos, a rising Senior goalkeeper from Southern California. Currently, I am 5 foot 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 135 lbs. In the goal, I may appear an easy target; but I am a lean, agile, athletic, shot stopper. I have been playing club soccer since the age of seven. I began playing with Arsenal FC in 2003 until 2007. I transferred to Legends FC, formerly know as Glendora FC, from 2007 to the 2011, where my team worked its way from Silver Elite to Premier status in Coast Soccer League (CSL). Most recently I moved to the Eagles Soccer Club in order to compete in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) and play in the Premier League with CSL.
I have played, and been a starter, for the Varsity soccer team for The Webb Schools my Freshman, Sophomore & Junior years. This year I earned 3 great honors. I started off the year being selected as Captain of our team by Coach Kooiman and my teamates. I concluded the year by earning 1st Team All-League and Goalkeeper of the Year for the second year in a row.
I consider myself a leader on and off the field with both my teams. On the field, I believe that my field vision can easily assist my team mates: I am constantly directing everyone on the field about where they should be, who they should mark and what they need to do as the play progresses. Off the field, I try to lead by example and encouragement: being on time, prepared, starting warm ups and giving 100% without complaint. My greatest passion is to play soccer in college. I am open to play for all types of schools, and I have not yet decided upon a Major. I would like the opportunity to play as early as possible and contribute meaningfully to my team. I consider myself an academic, as well as an athlete: the rigor & reputation of the college I choose is as important as the quality & level of play on the field. I am interested in a school where my skills, and the balance between them, will be able to shine.
