Going to college has become the most important goal, just above playing soccer in college. My aunt played a big part in my life, taking me in most of the time while living with a parent that suffered from alcohol and drug abuse. I use her as a prime example of who I want to be or how I want to be. Towards the end of my freshman year, my parents decided to separate, later leading to a divorce. I found myself stressed a lot of the time trying to maintain grades and stay fit as well as live a healthy life. The team manager for my current club team has inspired me to remain focused and determined. He definitely always knows what to say and gives me that extra push to keep going and focus on my education and sports. When I was three, I began playing soccer so nothing really influenced me, I was basically placed into soccer and just stuck with it. While playing soccer though, I have learned so much about myself including my determination to reach goals and the way I see things. This sport has pushed me to stay focused and determined with school and learning new things on the field. Academically, I have such high expectations for myself like getting a high GPA. In my last year of high school, I hope to maintain a GPA between 3.5-4.0. For college, I want to graduate with a Bachelor's degree. My life came mith many obstacles that I certainly believe I overcame and learned from them and I was able to grow as an individual and be able to do the things I do today that I may not have been able to do if I kept going down a bad path. Skills and characteristics I have been able to possess throughout my life include painting, being extremely organized, and being a very clean person.
