Personal Statement
Since the age of 5, I began what today is my passion for soccer. I continued playing and realized I enjoyed becoming better and stronger as the years passed. I soon began cross training in running cross country, track & field and even joined my high school's lacrosse club. Simply dreaming of being the first generation in my family to attend a university was compounded by my desire to compete in athletics in college. But soon realizing my learning disability would impact my academic learning as well as interfer with all my training helped me structure my schedule and reach my goal to balance it all. I aspire to be a talented Imagineer for Walt Disney Studios and seeing my designs out in the world representing the happiest place on Earth. I have also continued to train in hopes that I will be able to play soccer at the college level. I know the world is a rough place but "if you shoot for the moon, you'll land among the stars". Because of this quote I always strive to be the best I can in my academics and athletics all the while remaining who I am as a person. I aspire to be a college athlete, a thriving student and an amazing artist. Only I can paint on the canvas of my future and I will not accept road blocks to my desires, dreams and goals.
