Hi, My name is Carissa Wilcots. I've been playing soccer for about 11 years and it instantly from the start became my passion. I play both forward and outside middle and on occasion I can play center midfield. I am known for having a very strong, dominant left foot, although I am able to use my right as well. I am also known for being the fastest, if not one of the top two fastest on my team and any opponents we face. In the first grade, both teachers and administration decided it would be best for me to skip the second grade and advance to the third. When I got to high school I was hesitant to try out for the soccer team knowing I would be the youngest player trying out. I got the courage and self confidence in my talents and decided to attend the summer program for my high school. I was told the first week of the summer program I had made the varsity team my freshman year. Being the youngest on the team, as well as a varsity starter, who played most of the game, taught me self confidence and I was then able to use my talents and skills in a whole new way. I have been a varsity starter my freshman, sophomore, and junior years earning second team all-league my sophomore and first team all league, first team all CIF, and second team all county my junior year as well as several coaches awards. I have also played at the club level for Rialto Fire SC for 4 years. From the start of my education, academics have also been extremely important to me. I have taken several honors and AP classes and have maintained a 3.8 GPA or higher throughout high school. I believe I have the drive and competitiveness to play at the collegiate level. I don't have a particular preference for what school I want to go to and I am open to any opportunities I get to play at the collegiate level. Financial assistance will play a big role in my college decision.
