Hello, my name is Brie Fitzpatrick and I am a senior at Etiwanda High School. I have been playing soccer for around 11 years now. I play center back and defensive midfield for my high school, and play center back and defensive midfield for my club team. In the last few years, I have played forward, center mid (attacking/defending), and outside/center back. I am a versatile player who can play anywhere my coach needs me to play.
My primary position right now is center back. I play an aggressive, fearless, and physical style of defense. As a defender, I enjoy being able to see the whole field. This allows me to help my teammates by giving them proper direction on the field to create possible plays. Over the years playing defense, I have learned how to read the field, know who to mark, and anticipate where the ball and player will be when the opposing team makes runs. By showcasing my assertiveness, quickness, and aggressiveness on the field, I am successful with the ability to shut down my opponent's offensive movement. Besides playing defense, I am also offensively minded which is why I enjoy taking corner kicks and free kicks.
Ever since my AYSO days as a child, I have always taken on a leadership role with my teams. I enjoy taking charge of the field and leading my team to victory. Over the years I have seen teammates who are disrespectful and not serious about learning and trying to get better. I pride myself on being humble, respectful, and coachable on and off the field. I understand the dedication and hard work that goes into collegiate soccer. I am looking forward to finding a college that has my academic needs and a soccer program that will allow me to show my level of play. Thank you!
