Christine Kelly '17 Recruiting Profile

Will be attending the University of Illinois in Fall 2017.

My collegiate goal is to be the best student-athlete I can be. I want to receive a great education and degree, and if possible make an immediate impact and real difference on my team as well. I believe I am a leader on and off the field. I get along great with all of my teammates and will make any sacrifice necessary for team success. I have had to face of lot of adversity this past year dealing with some foot injuries which has limited my play. Yet, I have dealt with this challenge head-on and I believe it helped me grow as a player and a person. It taught me patience and perseverance and I am proud that I maintained a great attitude throughout my recovery. It definitely has stoked my competitive fire. In addition, I am a very coachable and realistic person so I am aware of when I need to work on something to improve or perform better. I play soccer, a team sport, because I truly love helping contribute to my team’s success so much more than any individual honors. Competing on the pitch and striving to win championships is what I look forward to most!
