Personal Statement
Playing collegiate soccer at a high level has always been an aspiration of mine. Ever since the age of five I have lived and breathed soccer every day, and continuing to play in college would make every second of work worthwhile. I am a very devoted and hardworking person, and am extremely active in serving in my Church and use the leadership and encouragement ideas I have learned through serving others in playing soccer.
My leadership strengths on the field include organizing my defensive line, possessing a "do what it takes" attitude, reading the game intuitively and intellectually, and constantly staying positive and encouraging towards my teammates to create a good playing environment. My technical strengths include playing high off my line, diving full extension for low and high balls, fast footwork across the goal line, timing and reactions on breakaways and close shots, and aggressiveness of crosses and through balls.
I have trained with Tony DiCcico's organization, SoccerPlus, both in the Goalkeeping Academy and National Training Center, and train weekly with a private coach to improve my technical abilities. Being a goalkeeper means that I have the ability to change the game, and every time I step on field I strive to make an immediate impact!
