Samantha Ritchie '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'6 defensive midfielder from Menifee, California. I am currently entering the senior year of my varsity career with the Paloma Valley High School team, and was recently honored with the All League Defensive MVP award.  I have been a Varsity player all 4 years and have worn the Captain's band for 3 of those yrs. I also play on the ECNL Arsenal FC U19 team under Coach Richard Boon and just completed my 2nd season in the WPSL playing for the Rudy Canales with the So Cal Union. Soccer, to me, is more than just a sport. It has shaped me into the person I am today by teaching me that opportunities don't come easy and hard work and dedication pay off. Coaches have told me that I am a fast learner, I demonstrate good leadership qualities, I am mentally tough, I fit in and work well with others, and that I have good technical skills. I look forward to contributing these strengths to a collegiate soccer team. In addition to being a student-athlete, I am able to keep my grades above a 4.0 and am looking for a college campus that can help me further my education.
