Blair Kennedy Bolden '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Blair Kennedy Bolden I am an extremely hard working student athlete who has been blessed to be on great competitive soccer teams, both high school and club.  I have a strong soccer IQ and have played in various soccer systems.  I always place team goals ahead of my personal goals.  I would describe my style of play as athletic, explosive and tenacious.

I have a 1st Degree Black Belt in Kempo Karate; specializing in MMA submission holds.  I have been practicing martial arts for 12 years and that type of hard cross training has kept me injury free my entire soccer career.  On the field, I'm always playing with my head up; always surveying the best way to get the ball up field and exploit the defense.

This year our Bishop O'Dowd soccer team won league for the 1st time in 4 years.  We upset the #1 Seed Livermore in a game that went to penalty kicks (I played all 100 minutes of the semi-final game).  As a senior leader and a 3-year varsity player we set the goal of winning league and the CIF North Coast Championship.  Unfortunately we lost to Las Lomas (2-1) in my final high school game.   I know that my extensive soccer experience, skills and athleticism can add value to your soccer program as a player, and to the school as a student.  

My goals is to play in a soccer program at an institution that can bring out the best in me as as player, teammate and student.  I am looking for a coach that can help mentor me and prepare me for leadership in college and life in general.  I haven't made the definitive choice of what I want to study but I am leaning toward business with an emphasis in Marketing and tying in the new aspects of digital and social elements into traditional marketing.
