Ava Schmitt '21 Recruiting Profile

Since joining a competitive club team, at age 8, I have had tremendous passion for soccer and been fully committed to becoming the best player I can possibly be. With the help of my coaches and teammates, I have both improved my game and developed values and characteristics I highly value, including hard work, dedication and collaboration.   Especially since my club joined the US Soccer Development Academy, I take each practice, match and national training opportunity (6), to improve.  I have been honored to be a team captain for multiple years.  In addition to playing, I also enjoy giving back to my club by assistant coaching both youth skills clinics and younger teams and helping to raise money for scholarship and team travel.   Both on and off the field, I am competitive and goal directed.  I am looking for an intense and challenging training environment to continue growing as a player at the collegiate level. I am also seeking a strong and serious academic environment to advance my education. 

I believe this will be my team's best season yet as  we are pushing harder than ever toward playoffs.  I hope you will take the opportunity to follow our play!
