Personal Statement
I have been passionate about the game of soccer since my mom signed me up to play recreational soccer at the age of five. I have been very committed to the sport, working my way up to a club level competitive team that was one of the top two elite teams for that club. I am a versatile soccer player, having played a variety of positions including outside back, center back, outside midfield and forward, although my favorite positions are outside midfield and outside back. My most memorable experiences have been when I was named MVP after my team won our division for the Kelvin Norman Memorial Soccer tournament, when I made my high school varsity team and lettered as a freshman, and when I was named the MaxPreps player of the game during one of my varsity soccer games.
As a student-athlete, I understand the importance of academics. I’m hoping to eventually go to medical school with the ultimate desire of being a pediatrician. I believe that my continued pursuit to play soccer at the collegiate level will help me to relay my experiences to my patients and teach them the importance of physical fitness.
Outside of soccer, I have been volunteering for the last two years as a children's camp counselor with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. I love spending time with these kids. They are fun, curious, and excited about most things, which also helps to boost my energy and enthusiasm!
I am looking for a college that would be a good fit for me academically and athletically; I am open to all opportunities. I believe that I have the character, drive, and work ethic that would make me an impactful player and a great asset for your team!
