Hannah Shimura '18 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals are to double major and to graduate at the top of my class. I would be a good candidate for your team because I possess the qualities that are crucial to a team. On the field I see myself as a confident player. I know my strong points as well as my limits and execute plays that will benefit the team as a whole and not just make me look good as an individual. Additionally, I am vocal on the field which is imperative in any team sport, but especially in a game as fast-paced as soccer. I also perform well under pressure and can play calmly and possess the ball in difficult situations. I do not simply play on the field, but I also think my actions through. This allows me to anticipate the ball and mark players properly. Not only does this improve my game, but I can help direct my teammates in doing so as well. I am different than other recruits in my great amount of tenacity in everything that I do. Whether it is school or sport oriented, I put in my best effort and will work at it until I can get it right. Additionally, I am very eager to learn both new concepts in school or new plays and skills in soccer. Lastly I consider myself to be a people person. I love interacting with people and learning new things from them. I have the goal to not only see myself succeed, but my teammates as well.
