Personal Statement
I fell in love with the position of goalkeeper in the fourth grade. Ever since, I have been working to improve my skills and techniques. Many people say that you have to be a little crazy to be a goalkeeper, diving headfirst at feet and purposely throwing yourself on the ground, and while I believe there is truth in that, I also believe that it takes great mental endurance and conditioning to be able to do so. I am very strong mentally as a player and I always strive to improve and build upon what I've already been taught. I am also very coachable. I think that is one of the most important qualities to have as an uncoachable player will never strive to be better than they are. Finding a college that has a great program for my major, along with a well-balanced women's soccer team is of utmost importance to me. Biomedical engineering is a rigorous major, but I am willling to take on the challenge.
