Soccer has been a huge part of my life and who I am for almost 12 years now. I began with the recreational leagues when I was 4 years old, and continued on to the travel and soon premier programs. I desire to continue my soccer career into college because I have always played. I always look forward to those soccer workouts, practices and especially games. I always sit in school on game day just counting down the minutes because I am just so eager to lace up my cleats and step on the field and do what I love to do. Playing always satisfies me and I can't imagine not playing after I graduate because soccer has been such a crucial and essential aspect of my life for 12 years. Competing in the NPL and CJSA leagues, and tournaments all over the East Coast through my club team, has exposed me to potential players that I may be playing against once I get to college and it excites me to play with and against such talented players and teams. Overall, my goal for my collegiate soccer career is to sustain the excitement and eagerness to lace up my cleats, put on my jersey and step on the turf, ready to play. If I have the opportunity to play this sport for another 4 years after I graduate, I would be so honored to share my skill and experiences with other players I meet and be able to compete, yet still do what I love on a daily basis.
Based on academics, I put a lot of effort into my grades. I try to sustain a GPA higher than 3.5, which I have done for all of high school so far! Taking AP classes, college level classes, and all honors, I try to challenge myself the best I can in order to prepare me for the work and effort that I will need to have when attending college. I always try to stay involved within my school, being my class secretary this year, on the Pep Rally committee, being a mentor to incoming freshmen, and leader in many leadership conferences around the state. I believe that leadership is an extremely important part of someone's character, not only in school, but also on the soccer field. If others look up to you, it gives you the role of leadership and automatically makes you want to do your best. My academic goal for college is to be able to attend a school that will offer me the academic requirements (what I want to study) and some place where I can be successful to be the best person, academically, that I am capable of being. My grades and playing soccer are both important to me. Both make up a part of who I am, where I am proud of all I have accomplished and hope to be proud of what I will accomplish in my college career, both academically and through soccer.
