Amanda Zager '17 Recruiting Profile

My long term aspiration would be to complete 4 years of successful collegiate soccer and attend a well-rounded college that will shape my future academically. I am currently keeping my academic options open, but desire to pursue various fields including Business, Fashion Media and Merchandising, and Personal Training. I am interested in a school that challenges me mentally and has the interests that I am looking for. I am also interested in a competitive athletic program. I currently play for IMG Academy U17 girls team for high school and club. I have a passion for the competitive environment and would like to further pursue my soccer career with a college where we mutually benefit. 
What makes you a good candidate for their team? -- I think that I would be a good canadite for a college soccer team because I'm a player who likes a challenge and if I'm offered an opportunity I will make the best out of it because not everyone gets to have the same experiences that I have in my everyday life and I want to take advantage of all the opportunities I am given because I am extremely grateful for what I have. I would strive to become part of the teams environment and mesh in with girls who love the same sport and are willing to give a 100% effort into something that I love and they love.
What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics? -- I am a selfless, hard-working player who has the ability to lead when necessary in making sure the team as a whole is successful. I am very open to meeting tons of people and feel comfortable being myself with a bunch of girls who don't even know me. I am willing to put 100% into something I love and get critiques to become a better player and person.
