Personal Statement
Transfer: Spent first two years playing at Mississippi State (SEC).
I was born to be a Goalkeeper! My parent's like to say that I was born with a ball in my hand. I have played, competed and excelled at just about every sport including soccer, softball, basketball, volleyball, and track. As early as elementary school I have been competing in sports and was the state champion for Pass, Punt and Kick in Football and placed 4th in the Nation in that competition. Over the years, I have been awarded and recognized as "Most Distinguished Athelete", MVP, Top Drawer "Player to Watch", Top Drawer Ranked #1 Florida & Region in 2011, Freshman Honorable Mention, "Best of Florida" Soccer Roster. I have been on ODP Region III Regional Team, ODP State Team and ID2 Camp. I hold a NSCAA Level I & II goalkeeping license. My former soccer team, Magic Jack is 2 for 2 as State Champions where I earned 9 out of 12 games as shut outs. As a member of the Magic Jack team for four years I was the starting keeper earning double digit National Championships at the highest top flight level and competing against some of the best teams in the country from the west coast to the east coast. My team has been ranked #1 in the country in Got Soccer multiple times and curently holds a "Gold" Level in Soccer in College. Magic Jack has been consistently ranked as one of the top ten teams for the last four years which I am very proud of and feel that I contributed to that success. I attend American Heritage High School Boca/Delray where I am the recipient of an academic and humanitarian scholarship. My freshman and sophomore years I was the starting Varsity Goalkeeper and helped my team earn the State Championship with a 5-0 shutout where I played the entire game. The game was the first State Championship shut out in school history which the entire team was proud of. My team is ranked #1 in the state and #23 in ESPN High School rankings. I also play Volleyball and Softball for American Heritage and was named co-captain for the JV Softball team where I was then awarded a spot on the roster for the Varsity Softball team. I play catcher, short stop and third base. I am very competitive, social and a natural leader. As a goalkeeper, I feel responsible for my team from the strikers to the defenders. I have a good knowledge of the game with good vision and instinct to anticipate plays which then allows me to direct and lead on the field. I am a very vocal goalkeeper! Most of my games with Magic Jack are played with only 2 defenders with a trap defense . This style of play and format has helped me develop a very focused, quick and aggressive approach to goalkeeping. I am forced to make instant decisions requiring precise timing with plays ( especially breakaways) and ability to create opportunities offensively. I can distribute the ball with my left or right foot and softball has awarded me with a arm that can distribute the ball to mid field with precise accuracy. Since joining my new team Boca United, I have played 9 games with 9 consecutive shut outs. I am able to train regularly and I am very motivated to play soccer in college. I want to find a university where I can be challenged on and off the field and make a difference on the field and in the classroom. I enjoy competing at all levels and take pride in my contributions as a teammate. I love my teammates and some of the best relationships that I have are with my teammates. One of my many goals has been to play Soccer in College. I am a quick learner and can adapt to any style of play. Playing multiple sports and relying on many different coaching styles and personalities has allowed me to become very coachable and able to adapt under many diverse circumstances. I am very determined and look forward to playing Soccer in College in the Fall of 2015!.
