My dream is to play soccer for a college that has a strong soccer program as well as top academics. I have been captain of my soccer team for the past 4 years. I am often asked to play up a year or two with the older girls. I played on a boys club team for several years, and currently play on a team with several international players, so I have experienced all kinds of different players and styles on the field. I recently won the 2015 "Coach's Award" at IMG Academy and I was the only freshman nominated for "Defensive Player of the Year". I was asked to be a guest player at Jefferson Cup for the ECNL team, Albertson Fury, where we won the tournament. I was also invited to and attended the Women's US National Training Centers in 2014 and 2015 with dreams of someday representing my country on the US Women's National Team. What makes me different is my passion and desire to do more than anyone expects me to do. I go above and beyond in everything I do. I am an extremely hard worker and I am a leader on and off of the field.
In my Academics, I have received Highest Academic Honor Roll since Elementary School. I won the IMG Spirit Award (Top Honor) Recipient 2014 which was given to the student who shows excellence and goes the extra degree in sports, academics and all other areas. I was ranked First in my graduating class (2014). I am currently enrolled in the IMG High School Honors Program, where I am still top of the class and take advanced classes including honors and AP classes. I was chosen to be a Student Council Representative for both my freshman and sophomore years and and I was recently inducted into the National Honor Society. I was chosen to be an IMG Student Ambassador and I was also selected for the IMG Purpose Institute. I am also co-founder and president of the IMG Chapter of "I am That Girl", an organization created for women empowerment.
Another interesting note about myself is I was the only girl who was chosen to run track as a duel sport for IMG where I trained with world re-known Olympic speed coach, Loren Seagrave. With the help of coach Loren, I set the IMG records in both the 400m and the 800m the first time I ran the events!
I am a very well-rounded individual but I am most passionate about playing soccer, which is why I chose to go to IMG. There I do soccer training everyday but I also do fitness training, weight training, speed training, vision training, nutrition, mental conditioning and leadership training. I live in the dorm which I feel is a huge benefit to me, because it is very similar to a college environment. I have learned to be independent and have good time-management between my busy soccer and academic schedule. I am very focused on my future and the goals that I have made for myself and I know that with my hard work and dedication, there is nothing that I can't do!
