My name is Murphie Davis and I am a senior at Oglethorpe County High School. Soccer has been the major focus of my life since I was 7 years old. My parents always encouraged me and were always there to support me.Everytime after a game they would tell me all the good things and what I needed to work on and that helped me become stronger. I always give 110% no matter what. After soccer games people always approach me and tell me how far I have come since my recreational soccer years, and how proud they are. That makes me want to try harder and show that I have more to prove.
My current goals are to get signed to play college soccer and become a neonatal nurse.
My personality is outgoing. I always try hard to get what I want especially in soccer. The starting positition is what I fight for. I give 110% every practice and every game. I always try to work harder than everyone, and always try to lift people up with a laugh. My goal is not to be the best but to be the best that I can be.
Mom always told me " In order to play soccer, you have to keep your grades up" so I strive to do my best in the classroom too. I manage to do pretty well with my grades during soccer season. I make time to study even if I have to stay up late at night or miss going out with my friends. I have to admit that I agree with my Mom about the importance of working hard in the classroom and on the field. Success is not a gift that is handed to you. Success on the field, in the classroom, and in one's personal life is something that you have to work hard for every day.
