Tiffany Hicks '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tiiffany Hicks. As a junior at Valdosta High School, I have played on the Varsity Soccer team and a few games on the Junior Varsity Soccer team. About half of the games on Varsity I started in the game, and in the one season of Junior Varsity I started in all of the games. Also, I was team captain for the Junior Varsity team for a year. I am mainly a defensive player; however, my soccer coach, Coach Brent Doughty, has played me basically everywhere. He has told both my father and myself that I am the most versatile player he has coached. Coach Doughty has played me at goalkeeper, centerback, fullback, left and right midfielder, and forward/striker. Even though I have played in all of these positions, I believe my strengths are in goalkeeping and defensive positions.

Other than playing on the school team, I also play on a club team. The club I play with is South Georgia United, and this was my second year playing with them. Our season is during the fall, and some of the games are in the Athens and Atlanta area. There is also a soccer camp at Valdosta State University that I have attended for the past two years, and I plan on continuing going to this camp while I am in high school. During the summer, I play on a 3v3 team where I participate in tournaments.

As for my grades, I have always maintained and plan to keep all As in every class.This gives me  4.0 GPA. I took one AP class, AP World History, this past year and scored a 4 on the exam. This year I am taking 3 more AP classes: AP Chemistry, AP Literature/Language, and AP U.S. History. I also plan to take the AP U.S. Government and Politics exam after self-study. I have received many academic rewards since the 6th grade. All of the ones in middle school include having the highest average in my classes and over the entire grade. In high school, I have received awards for being in the top 5% in my grade.  My graduation year is 2016 from Valdosta High School in Valdosta, Georgia.
