Grace Long '19 Recruiting Profile

I currently play forward for Atlanta Fire United which is an ENCL club. I began playing soccer in second grade and have continued to advance ever since. The best part of a match is working as a team to move the ball down the field and set up the play to score!  My team experience has progressed from recreation to travel club and now as a starting player for both club and high school teams. I enjoy competition during tournaments with both my club and recreation teams because the level of play is most competitive at this level.  I relocated from Northern Virginia to Georgia in 2015 and was recruited to a high level recreation team moving to club play in both 2016,2017 and 2018.  One of my best contributions to my team is my speed down the field all the while looking for an opportunity to either cross the ball of a score or putting myself in the right position to receive a pass myself. Even though a demanding sport, I am able to balance the academic demand of an honors and AP student with my commitment to soccer. My goal is to continue to play as a high performing "Scholar Athlete" throughout High School and throughout college.
