Personal Statement
I have played soccer since I was a little girl, and I have enjoyed it just as long. Soccer has helped me become more aggressive and more outgoing, all while working my own skills in and out of the game. All year round I'm out on a field somewhere scrimmaging, juggling, or just playing. In school, I am a 4.0 student, a National Honor Society member, and a college and AP class student. I am in numerous academic and philanthropic clubs as well as being a four sport athlete involved in: cross country, basketball, softball, and, of course, soccer. I am actively involved in my youth group, Bible studies, and other community events.
I have dressed varsity every year of high school, and I have started both my sophomore and junior years. I have high school experience in every position, but I am most familiar with defense. I played a lot of stopper my sophomore year, and this year I played center back. I have also played multiple types of field set-ups. I am a quick learner, and I am always looking for the small ways to improve. I enjoy receiving criticism from coaches and using those critics to better my game. This year as center back I was unanimously named to the all-CIC North 1st team and to the all-CIC second team.
I am looking most for a college that will not only help me get better and stronger on the field, but also one that will push me in the classroom. I am excited to have the opportunity to play the game that makes me happy.
