Victoria Jordan '16 Recruiting Profile

~~Hello!  I’m looking to play for a collegiate women’s soccer team, and I’m hoping your team might be a good match.  I have been playing soccer since I was in kindergarten, and I love the game!  My strengths on the field are my vision and passing abilities.  I have a strong leg and am good at corner kicks – from one side I can curve the ball into the goal.   I am a physical player for my size, and I am not afraid to use my head.  I am the type of player that gets stronger as the game goes on, and many times this season, I played the entire game for my team.  One thing that makes me different is my ability to overcome adversity.  I was born hearing impaired, and in 5th grade, I lost more hearing in my good ear.  Since receiving a cochlear implant in 8th grade, I now am able to enjoy many things that others take for granted. What I am most proud of during this struggle is that I have excelled academically and athletically.  My cumulative grade point average is 3.83, and I am a 3 sport athlete, playing basketball, soccer, and softball for my school. I am a quiet leader and am very interested in art, gardening, and animals.  This past year I started an art club in my school, and I have appreciated the opportunity to go on 3 out of state mission trips for my church.  I am a very coachable athlete and a team player.  I play with determination and heart.  I hope that you will consider me for your program.   Victoria Jordan
