I am a center defender for my high school team, Lane Tech, and my travel team, Chicago City. Although I am usually positioned as a center defender I have also played outside defender and forward. I have been playing soccer ever since I was little and have been constantly gaining more knowledge of the game which improves my overall skills every year. I have also been doing gymnastics ever since I was little which has allowed me to gain a lot more strength in my upper and lower body. That has helped me become a strong soccer player who is not pushed around. I am not afraid to go for any ball that comes my way and I will do anything to ensure I win. Also, being the center back allows me to see the entire field and allows me to communicate with my team. Throughout the game I continue to encourage and push my team mates to do their best.
Throughout my whole life I have learned to balance athletics and academics. I have devoted my life to sports and have been able to succeed both academically and athletically. I have learned how to push through the rough times and not to give up on myself or others. This has taught me how to be a responsible, motivated, and a good role model for others. I hope to continue my athletic career in college and I cannot see myself doing anything else.
