Personal Statement
As an athlete I believe that you have to be a independent person on and off the felid. An independent person isn't someone that has to do everything on there own. Its someone that can take ownership for things and to be able to take responsibilities. Growing up as a young athlete it has taught me so many life lessons that can carry me through life. One life lesson that has really impacted my life is to prove people wrong. I use to be the kid that was to "big" to play soccer and I was always so sick and tired of people telling me that. So the following year I set a goal to drop over 30 pounds. Accomplishing something that big was huge for me and it has helped me tremendously. After achieving that big of a goal at such a young age has taught me so many valuable things. As a captain for my team I'm always setting not only team goals but personal goals. My biggest goal is to play division one soccer. As much as I love soccer I have to constantly make sure my grades are up as well. I am proud to say my freshman year taking all honor classes I reached over a 4.0 GPA. I know with determination, passion, and the right mindset anything can happen.
