Personal Statement
My name is Kara Cipolle and I am currently a senior at Joliet West High School; class of 2016. Soccer has always been my passion and I am going into my eighth year of playing... Eight years of club as well as coming up on my third year starting at the Varsity High School level. This year, I was nominated as captain of the team during high school season. I currently play for Windy City Pride soccer club where i wear number 8. I have spent many of my years playing up and on higher age levels as well. Over the course of my hard work and effort put into this sport, I have become an intelligent player with great field awareness as well as good touches on the ball. One could say that I am "known for" my ability to move the ball across the field, and intelligent decisions when passing. I have been told center midfield is my position of strength, although I do not have a preference as I am flexible all over the field, having forward as my alternate position of strength. I always give my full potential in and out of games, just as I do in and out of school. I have been taking all honors classes and maintain a 3.5 GPA. I like to believe I am a good teammate and I have also been told I am coachable, considering I love to get better because there is always room for growth. One of the things I see as most important when being a soccer player, is the improvement. Seeing and feeling yourself improve from season to season is definitely the best feeling especially after putting in so much work. Not only do I feel myself improve from season to season, but my coaches acknowledge it as well. Playing soccer has become a lifestyle for me that I have come to be very passionate about. Playing college soccer has always been a dream of mine, which I would love to see come true.
