Personal Statement
My main goal is to attend a prestigious academic college and participate on its competitive soccer team. I hope to attain a degree in science which will lead to a possible career in medicine. My athletic goals are to play for a team with a strong possessive style of play, winning attitude, and a close, supportive team culture. I really hope to allow my soccer skills and confidence on the field to contribute to success at my future college soccer team. I'm a good candidate for your college soccer team because I truly understand the game. I have great vision and I'm always aware on the field. My passes are accurate, I'm quick and agile, and I am a skillful dribbler. If my team loses possession of the ball, I don't just stop, I hustle to win the ball back which is a quality trait that most players do not have. My ability to run box to box many times during a game really helps in soccer. My cardio abilities are strong thanks to my mom pushing me to exercise and to my past experience in running track. Something else that I have that many coaches look for is leadership. I'm the person who is talking on the field nonstop whether it's giving advice or motivating the team. I listen and process information, instructions, and advice from coaches as well as other players. In academics, I am very proactive in completing my assignments and achieving high grades in very challenging courses. My time management and responsibility set me apart from other students and help me to obtain a comfortable balance between social activities, sports and academics. My thirst for knowledge and curiosity for the world allow academics to come easy to me. I’m very intelligent, kind and easy-going , allowing people to get along with me cheerfully, helping me socially and in building relationships with my teammates. This is why I'm a good candidate for your team.
