Mia Risser '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coaches, my name is Mia Risser! I am a sophomore at La Lumiere high school, and will be in the graduating class of 2023. I have been playing soccer since I was 4, and I have enjoyed every second of it.  Currently I am a starter on my high school varsity team where I play as a forward, and I am also on the Jr. Irish 05 premiere team where I play as a forward/ attacking mid.  Last year as a freshman, I broke the school record of most goals scored in a single season with 27 goals! As a player I would consider myself selfless and hard working. I love assisting goals and setting up my teammates almost as much as I love scoring myself.  I think that every practices and game is an opportunity to learn and get better, and I am always exited to compete. 

I have always been very academically focused and I want to attend a school that will challenge me. This year I had a GPA of 4.6 while taking honors and AP classes. In college I want to study pre med in the hopes of one day becoming a pediatrician. I have always loved working with kids, and I am very interested in science and medicine!
