Maddie Runnebaum '19 Recruiting Profile

Soccer has been a major part of my life since I stepped on the field at the age of four.  My parents introduced me to several sports, but soccer quickly became my passion. I’ve been fortunate to be able to play almost every position on the field for multiple years.  My style of play is simple and selfless.  I see the field well and can quickly assess the next play.  I’ve spent the past two years as a center midfielder because of my strength in the air and the ability to effectively distribute the ball.

Some of the best lessons I have learned in my life have come from playing team sports.  From learning how to take instruction and turn it into action, to understanding that what’s good for the team is good for me. 

As I think about what’s next for me, I am looking for a school where I can be a part of a successful soccer program and learn from great coaches while at the same time earning a quality education that will give me the opportunity to succeed in the future.
