My goal is to play college soccer. I have been playing since Kindergarten. After trying a lot of different sports, soccer is the one that I could never stray away from....I truly have loved it from the beginning. Good team chemistry is very important to me, and I work very well with others. Many of my coaches have complimented me on my "coachability", and my positive attitude to learn and get better. My freshmen year I played JV for Bishop Carroll Catholic High School. During my Sophomore year of high school, I tore my ACL while playing on my club soccer team, WFC United. The rehabilitation process was one of the hardest things I've done in my life but I knew that if I wanted to come back, I had to work extremely hard. Once high school soccer came back around, I started out on JV and I got cleared to play the first game of the season. We ended up winning, and the second game, I scored my first goal after six months of rehabilitation. Throughout the season, I scored eight goals. At the end of the season, I got pulled up to play on Varsity for one game in regular season, and for the whole postseason. On varsity, I scored two goals. During my junior year, I had 6 goals and 2 assists on varsity. After an injury to one of our forwards, I was a starter for the last 8 games of the season. I also received All City Honorable Mention. My coaches were a huge help in getting me back from surgery. They helped me be patient, and ensured my knee was completely healthy before I played. Because of my injury, I have learned to appreciate the game much more and have come back stronger than before. In college, I hope to receive a great education, and maybe study to become a physical therapist. The physical therapist I had during my rehabilitation really had a positive influence on me and made me understand how fulfilling it must be to help athletes realize their dreams. I know that no matter where I go or what I major in, I will be well rounded and prepared for the future because of the wonderful support structure I have around me, and the things I have been blessed to experience.
