Kelsey Castle '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Kelsey Castle and I want to give you a preview of me. I am 17 years old and a junior at Bullitt East High School (Mt. Washington, KY). Soccer has been my passion since I was 5 years old and still is to this day.  I currently play on the varsity team for BE and have been a starter for varsity since 9th grade. I played on the JV team when I was in 7th and 8th grade too. I have been picked to be a captain for my senior year. I was a co-captain for some of the games my junior year. I was picked to be on the All 6th Region Second team my sophomore year and picked to be on the All 6th Region First Team my junior year. My team has made it to the district and regional championship game since I was a freshman. For club soccer I play for the Derby City Rovers. Our club team plays in the KPL and MRL leagues, where we play top teams from Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. I received an award from my club team called the Culture of Excellence Award. On off season I play indoor leagues, participate in training's, and do cross-fit.  

I value academics very highly, therefore I have a 4.25 GPA and currently scored a 27 on the ACT. Academic awards that I have received are Bullitt East High School Academic Excellence Award, AP World History Award, Bullitt East High School College Readiness Award, and Distinguished in Algebra 2 EOC.  From soccer and academics I received the award Kentucky High School Athletic Association All State Team Academic Award. I am a well rounded student in school and the community. I participate in clubs such as National Honors Society, Beta Club, Student Body Government, Prom Committee, Future Business Leaders of America, and BE Powder Puff team.

Its very important to me that I find a college that has a good medical program and to be apart of the soccer team. I have wanted to play college soccer since I was in the 6th grade. I'm also looking for opportunities such as soccer scholarships to go along with academic scholarships. I am very excited to see what the future holds!
