Personal Statement

"A disciplined leader, a hard worker, a coachable team member, and dedicated player to the game of soccer on and off the field." These are the words my coaches have used to describe me as a player.   I am a good candidate for your team because I am very coachable and will be a good leader on and off the field. I have gone to a small Christian school all my life.  At Maranatha Christian Academy, our main focus is on character and leaving a legacy. I will be a role model.  I will show up with a great attitude.  I will fight hard for the team.  I am always excited to get stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually. I currently have an "A" average after my freshman year of high school and I plan to keep it that way.  As an underclassman,  I have led my high school soccer team in goals and created a cohesive team.  The best is yet to come.

  • Player Evaluation: Has the overall athletic ability and technical range to continue developing into a very good player. Pure speed, quickness, and agility more than adequate for the top players in her age group. Has a good first touch and shows the ability to redirect ball quickly away from pressure and shows above average technical speed. She needs to improve ability to strike a ball accurately over distance and with different texture; bending, flighting, driving, chipping, etc. are examples of the textured passing need to help expand her technical range. Kayla has a solid understanding of basic attacking and defending principles of play. The next step is to adapt and apply these principles to specific game conditions. System and style of play, opponent, time, score, weather are some examples of game conditions that effect how the game is played. Developing this, higher level of game awareness will come as she continues training and playing in competitive environments. Kayla has a bright future and she has the tools to play at a high college level. Sincerely, Paul Webster Elmhurst College Head Women's Soccer Coach [email protected] (630)617-3248

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
