Setting goals is essential in my life; I enjoy pushing myself past my limits and reaching for big aspirations and dreams. By continuing my education, I wish to one day be able to help protect, care for, and love animals because they truly mean the world to me; furthermore, I would love to continue my soccer career. I remember when my cross country teammate convinced me to join the soccer team Freshman year, and ever since then, I have fallen in love with the sport. I constantly bother my mom, asking her why she did not put me in soccer when I was younger because of how much joy the sport brings me. In addition, hard work is staying after practice to fix those drills that you weren't so good at, asking questions when you are confused, doing individual work whenever you can, and pushing yourself past the pain. I feel that it is crucial to be able to communicate with your coach or team when you are confused; thus, I try my hardest to ask questions as often as I feel needed. Training on my own is very important to me because if a person does not work independently, they can not help the team in the bigger picture. At home, I like to work on drills I maybe couldn't figure out at practice and work on skills I struggle with. Conditioning is not the most fun for everyone, but forgetting the pain and pushing yourself because you know it will benefit not only you, but your team is something that helps gets me through the painful suicides and wall-sits. Being part of a supportive/loving team is also why I fell in love with soccer so much. Getting along with my teammates, being able to communicate, and just having a special bond is something I strive to do while being part of any team, not just my sports. Many of my teammates have described me as a "light" often praising me for my kindness and warm smile. While sports are important to me, academics are a big part of my life. I have been on the honor roll for all my years at Archbishop Chapelle High School and have been awarded multiple academic achievement awards. I excel in balancing academics, sports, and other activities by managing my time accordingly. This year, I am in numerous honors and dual enrollment classes, a member of the soccer team, track and field team, committee head, homeroom rep, and in many clubs like the National Honor Society. In previous years, I have run cross country, been club president, the National Spanish Honor Society historian, and more. In any activity or goal, I always promise to put my best foot first and never any less, bringing forth all my best qualities and more. I genuinely believe I am a hard worker, dedicated, and kind person who would do more than my best in any opportunity.
