My name is Zhanee Dimanche-Silva and I am a 5'4 outside midfielder and defender. My passion for soccer has started from the age of six and lead me to become one of the three freshman starters for my high school varsity team in Brockton, Massachusetts. I have been named a Big Three All-Star, and also made the Eastern Massachusetts 2nd All-Star Team. I was also voted captain by my teammates and varsity coach for my upcoming senior year starting in the fall of 2017. During the last three years in the Massachusetts Olympic Developmental Program, my technical and verbal skills have strengthened. Also, attending their ID camp has given me insight to what my strengths were and how to improve my overall performance. Through my various experiences, it has been my pleasure to represent the South Shore of Massachusetts by participating in District Select for four years. We have been very successful, for we have won out of 12 districts and have been close to winning by earning a spot in the finals.
In my experience with the FC Boston U17 soccer club, I enjoyed training with dedicated women in the league. With my leadership, I enjoy giving feedback, and also receiving and utilizing it. It taught me to have a great work ethic, athletically, and importantly, academically. My discipline for soccer has helped me have the discipline for academics, hence the reason why I want to be, and will most certainly to be a strong student. I have maintained a 3.5/4.0 GPA while in Honors and International Baccalaureate classes. My hard work will translate into success in college and beyond.
My goal is to find a school and team where I can collaborate with a future coach and teammates on and off the field, to help me become the leader/ profession I one day hope to become. I know this next step will be an opportunity to make friendships. I work hard because I want to be the best I can possibly be. I am committed and I display my full effort in everything I desire to achieve. Soccer has taught me not only foot skills but life skills, to help me reach my end goal in the future. My passion for soccer has crafted my vision of who I want to be in the near future.
