My goal is to develop the physical and mental capacities and stamina for a career beyond college. I'm looking for a college that is competitive both academically and athletically, where the quality of teaching is engaging on the field as well as in the classroom. I want to be able to combine the leadership, team spirit, and competitiveness I get from soccer with the creative and analytical skills gained in the classroom.
On more than one occasion my coaches have commented that I have a good soccer IQ. I understand the game, see the field well and know what to do at the appropriate time. I also believe that I am a team player. Because of geography I have played on several teams and had to integrate with players who have played together for several seasons. I always put the team first.
I put the extra effort in beyond practices and make the time to go to the gym, go for a run, or practice ball skills in the backyard. Regardless of all the sports and extra curricular activities, I still get my academic work done well and submitted on time.
