Personal Statement
Hello, I am Tiffany Harris and I'm currently a senior at New Town High School in Owings Mills, Maryland. I am 5'6" and weigh 128lbs. I began playing soccer when I was 6 years old and stopped when I was 10 due to transportation difficulties. I resumed playing soccer when I entered high school. I'm captain of my soccer team now and enjoy being able to encourage and pull together my team when we need it. I suffered a concussion during the first game of my senior soccer season, which kept me out of that season and my winter sport plans. I have been working extremely hard to get back in shape and academically up to par. I will be running outdoor track and play for a club soccer team throughout the spring. I view my athletic ability as a blessing and I want to use it to its full potential. I push myself in sports and academics so that I can stand out from the other students and players that choose to be mediocre. For instance, I take 2 laps after every practice so that i can better myself and strengthen my endureance. I really want to play soccer at the college level and I know that I have the work ethic and dedication to do so. My goal is to attend Salisbury University and major in Biology with a focus in Pre-Veterinary medicine. I have a true passion for animals and I hope that one day I can make advancements in medicine to help cure the many diseases that animals have. I pray that my athletic ability will carry me to this college so that my family and I don't have to worry about the exspences that are required to keep me there.
