2015 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I'm really proud of winning a US State Department scholarship to study in Germany during my 2016 - 2017 Junior Year. It's called the Congress-Bundestag Scholarship and is funded by the US Congress. Just 50 students from across the country are chosen for this prestigious program. This will give me a great opportunity to play soccer "European Style" for a full academic year, and I'm really looking forward to honing my skills and learning some new techniques.
I'm excited about going away to college in 2018 and playing soccer at the next level. Although I was a Defender in my early years, my Club and Varsity coaches have both moved me up to Attack positions, and I have gotten a number of key assists and goals against higher ranked teams. Looking ahead my goal is to get lots of play time on a competitive team at a top college.
Academically, I'm an Honor Roll student with a 3.5+ GPA. I have been studying really hard this year, and my grades have steadily improved. After college, I'm thinking about sports-related careers. Kinesiology, Sports Management, and Nutritional Science are some of the majors I'm considering.
