Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all love of what you are doing" -Pele.
This very quote is not only what I remind myself on the daily, but also strive to achieve through the fine balance of my education and my passion for soccer.
I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember, and have fond memories of all of my years. My greatest attributes are my competitive drive, field vision, speed/quickness, defensive skills and almost always being able to catch up on a breakaway. I made the decision to switch teams this year to further my growth and technical skills and know it will be nothing but an amazing year with MRL.
I am a goal-oriented person who works hard on the field and in the classroom, dedicating a lot of thought, time, and effort into becoming the best student/athlete I can be. My coaches will all testify to the fact that I push myself until the play is perfected.
I just received the Scholars for Dollars Academic Award through Berkley High School. I was chosen for this Scholarship along with only 9 other students at my High School; for all around academically strong, committed, and involved students. This gives me the opportunity to give back to the community, educate others about College, and involve myself more in the Collegiate experience.
I am a highly motivated student with interests and goals both on and off the field. Soccer is a major part of my life and I foresee it into the future. I would love the opportunity to progress in my career at the collegiate level. Thank you for reading my personal statement and for reviewing my profile. I hope you see me as a great fit for your team and school.
