All my triumphs and losses have helped me become the soccer player that I am today. One major contribution that has helped me grow as a soccer player was when I was one spot away from making the Michigan ODP pool the first year I went to tryouts. Being that close to being in the state pool taught me that hard work and passion can get you through most things in life but sometimes it just isn’t enough. This allowed me to evaluate myself as a player and learn not from my failure but from my experience. Another contribution to my growth is participating in soccer camps. In all the soccer camps that I have been to each has given me the opportunity to meet new people and develop a strong sense of teamwork and bonding. You can always tell which teams are the best not by the talent individually on the new founded teams but by how well they work together and use each person’s unique skills to their advantage.
Even though soccer is a strong passion of mine, I’m looking at schools that offer a unique style of student life and that allows me to follow the path of biology/chemistry and/or engineering.
