Personal Statement

I am Kayleigh Culver and attend Swartz Creek High School as a senior. I have been playing soccer sense I could barely walk and have grown a sense of love for the sport! I have been a Varsity starter sense my freshman year, where I took the senior starters position as goalie. Last season we went undefeated (21-1-1) until our finals against Grand Blanc. With that being said, I had my best personal record that year too! I was voted 1st team all-district an all-metro, and 2nd team all-state. I am currently ranked 2nd in the state for most consecutive shutouts (21) in a season.
At school I have always maintain a 3.0 and higher. My junior year it did slip because I was only taking 4 classes and I was having some trouble at home. I did pass all my classes and got my GPA back up to a 3.0 and higher and have kept all A's sense schools started. I have took some pre-medicine classes to go in hand with my desire to become a RNA, and also plan to retake my SAT (which I got a 1080) in December of 2017.

My best attributes to a team would be that I am very vocal! I make sure my team hears everything in case if they can't see someone running up on them. I also check to make sure my distance from the net is a good distance so that the shooter doesn't have a good enough angle for a shot. I shift side to side along with the ball and watch the movement of every player on the field so I can plan ahead of time what could possibly happen next. Last, I make sure I'm as good a player as I am a friend and student. I don't back down, and give my all 100% every chance I get.
