Personal Statement
I started playing soccer when I was four years old in my community recreational soccer league, as a forward. What I loved about soccer then still energizes me today: the pure joy of working with my teammates to keep possession of the ball and ultimately scoring goals!
I have always been the one who gets the job done in soccer. One of my biggest strengths is my versatility as a player. This has helped me tremendously because I am truly an all-round player with the ability to excel on the field at defense, forward, and midfield.
Through traveling and playing soccer at a high competitive level, I was able to meet some of the best people I have ever met, some of whom I still keep in touch with years later. Others I am currently playing with are some of the greatest friends I have in my life. Being able to play a sport that I have loved for so long with girls who feel the same way about it and girls who all have the same goal as me, is incredible.
That common goal is to win. And with a goal to win comes a different goal as well, to play collegiate soccer at the highest level possible with girls who share that same goal of winning. My competitiveness, will-to succeed and determination is exactly what sets me apart from the ordinary soccer player. I will do whatever it takes to reach my goals.
