Kristen Cowan '14 Recruiting Profile

I plan to attend college after I graduate from high school in 2014. I am interested in pursuing Occupational Therapy as my career because I want to help people enrich their lives. I have been told that I am kind and compassionate and I know I have a desire to help others that are handicapped or have a disability. I am currently studying sign language and I recently met some deaf people at the beach and being able to communicate with them was the highlight of my trip. I have been playing soccer since I was four years old and would like to continue playing throughout my college years if the right opportunity presented itself. I pride myself on being a team player and always support and encourage my teammates and respect my Coaches. My parents have always told me to "play hard and have fun! " I am far from perfect and I know there will always be players that have better skills, but I can honestly say that I will always play hard and try to give you my best to fight with my team to accomplish our goals on and off the field. My hope is to be accepted in a college that will be a good fit for me and would allow me to also continue to play a sport I love.
