Personal Statement

My dream is to play soccer in College. I have played soccer since the age of 6(Club ball since 2009) and can't imagine a future in which soccer does not play some role in my life. There really isn't an "off-season". I play for two competitive Club Teams as well as for my High School. This year I wanted to try something new so I attended tryouts for our state ODP team and am happy to report that I will be playing on the Missouri 1998 team this year as well. Last month I was chosen from my school to be a member of the 2014/2015 Junior Assembly. I am also a member of my High School choir. I have never been in any kind of trouble academically or otherwise. I have strong morals, keep my head on straight, and work hard to achieve any and all goals that I set for myself.

I am a go getter. I never sit idle. If there is a day that I don't have a game or practice I will go for a run or scrimmage with friends. I am extremely coachable and have a strong work ethic. It isn't in me to let myself or my teammates down.

I plan to graduate College with a degree in Education/Special Education. I recently volunteered at a soccer camp for children with disabilities. It was the most amazing experience. I plan to continue volunteering at similar events whenever my schedule allows.I know that a career in Education may not be the highest paying, but I believe that there is something to be said for spending your life doing something you enjoy.
