As a collegiate athlete, I aspire to play not only due to my absolute passion for the game, but also to help prepare me for the future. Teamwork, perseverance, commitment, and responsibility are just a few fundamental traits that are needed in the job market as well as on the soccer field.
In my opinion, one of my best traits is my ability to put my teammates before myself; I try to become better not only for myself, but for them as well. (Seems ironic in the midst of my blatant self promotion, though).
Realistically, the one thing that sets me apart from other candidates is my dedication. Everything I do, whether it be in the classroom or on the field, is done with 100%. I can't settle for being 'okay'. Growing up as the only girl in my family, I've learned to fight for my own glory and never settle for being second best.
