Personal Statement
I started playing soccer when I was 5, and it has always been a big part of my life. I have always loved the sport and that love grows each time I step foot on the field, whether for practice and especially for the games. I have always gravitated towards sports, as I have played softball, tennis, and basketball in the past. Now I participate in three different soccer teams; city club, high school, and an elite state traveling team. My other passion is ballet, which I have done since the age of 3. I love performing in ballet and I believe it has also helped with my balance and strength on the turf. I am also actively involved in school actitvities. I am Vice President of Key Club, a club that involves me spending many hours of volunteer service to the community as well as speaking at various adult association meetings. Also, I am anticipating being in the National Honors Society. I have made the honor roll every semester of my high school career, and have been awarded the Academic All-State each year. My freshman year on Varsity Soccer, I received the Honorable Mention All-State Award, and this year, the First Team All-State as a junior. I am excited to see where life takes me next and I have a strong desire and determination to continue being able to play soccer in college. I am continually challenging myself in high school with honors and AP classes to be sure that I get a great education, so that I can have a successful and fullfilling future. I know that I can impact the world around me positively and that I will accomplish my life goals and tasks with all of the effort, will and love I can give. I believe I am a strong leader, and am a positive role model for those around me. It is important to me to help my teammates achieve success on and off the field. I always try to lead by example, showing how all of the hard work, honest effort and positive attitudes can pay off when it comes to reaching goals, and inspiring others who are around me. I have always loved soccer and I enjoy sharing that love and passion with those playing with me. It would be a dream come true to play at the collegiate level, using the skills and talents I have gained over the years from coaching and hard work.
