Personal Statement
I have been playing soccer since I was three years old. I feel in love with the game and can not imagine life without soccer. To me, soccer is more than just a sport or a hobby it's a form of expression and my true happiness. I have quick feet and can see the field well. I am very coachable and desire criticism to help me become a better student-athlete. I have learned how to work as a team and how to communicate well with others. Sometimes I might not always win a game or score a goal but the good sportsmanship and ethics that I have learned from being a soccer player have taught me never to be discouraged. Going to the state championship my senior year was a highlight of my high school career. Our team grew throughout my high school career playing in the playoff games my sophomore year and not making it to the state tournament affected us, and the next we pushed and worked harder and earned 2nd in the western conference. Then my senior year we were 1st in the western conference and ended up second in the state. In the classroom, I study hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA. I am looking for a program that will fit me well athletically as well as academically. Overall, everything I have given on the field has taught me lessons that I can not learn in school. I am who I am today because of soccer and I know that I would be a great addition to your team!
