Like many other athletes, my parents got me into soccer when I was about four. At first, it was just another sport I played. But as I grew older, soccer became much more than just a game. It became my greatest passion. While I love so many parts of the game, I absolutely love giving my teammates a scoring opportunity and watching the play unfold. Having that connection together is amazing and to see my teammate score off of my intentional pass feels awesome.
My parents have supported me throughout my whole journey and have always instilled a strong work ethic in everything I do. My work ethic on and off the field is something that I make sure no one can match. When I play, I play with my mind, body, heart, and soul. I think my mental toughness also could work into that. I’m coachable and I’m not afraid of criticism, I actually really love it because it helps me get better. I also have a positive attitude, I lift my teammates up while also keeping them accountable. I think a great strength on the field is my versatility and adaptability. On the field, I can play anywhere from the 6, 8, or 10, to the 7, 11, or 9. Give me a chance, and I'll do my best!
I try to play with resiliency and know that's an area all players need continual work. This past high school season, my team lost in the state quarterfinals in a PK shootout. I missed my shot. It's really easy to tear yourself up about all the "what-if" moments of the game, but that doesn't change the outcome. You can pout or you can get back to work. I make myself practice PKs over and over, and I am looking forward to my next chance to step up and score. Without that setback, I wouldn't have been pushed to get better in my PK execution and my mental strength!
I am still discovering my future career passion so I am not sure yet what I'll be majoring in. I do know that I want to continue to take advanced classes and achieve a high gpa while committing to sports. Outside of the pitch, I'm a pretty normal teenager who likes hanging out with my friends. I teach soccer to little kids in my club, so I admit, my spare time usually goes back to the game somehow! I would love the opportunity to show you how I can help impact the future success of your team!
